that’s what i am now.
at least with my job.
today is my last day as a temp.  starting tomorrow i will be a full-time employee at clark financial advisors.  i got the job offer last week…along with a nice little raise.  i am excited.  the girls i work with are awesome and our boss spoils us.  i’m glad that i have a good job.  i know that it’s not glamorous to be a receptionist and that my salary probably isn’t envied by most.  but right now, at this point in my life, this job is good.  it is fundamentally enjoyable to me, i work with (and have fun with) great people everyday, i get two pay checks a month, and awesome perks.  first, i feel blessed to have a job at all and second, i feel blessed to have a job that i feel good about.

in other news, there is no other news.

oh wait, yes there is.

on a typical day i probably drink a maximum of 16 ounces of water. total. for the whole day.  i know this is just TERRIBLE and contributes a lot to my being tired all the time and getting cramps all the time and not having the best workout endurance…and probably lots more. SO…….

today i am going to try to drink one gallon of water.

so far: 50 ounces down 78 to go!

I’m so happy that you like your job and are now legit!
You’re going to float away if you drink that much water. :-0

I don’t come anywhere near even your daily amount of water because I hate drinking water! I have to trick myself with the water in other drinks, but still. I think you’ll be okay if you don’t drink a gallon of water in a day.

Congrats on the raise! I am one of the people who are envious of your new salary haha. You’re rich now!

A comment from my Aunt Brenda:

Hi Sheena. I can’t leave a comment on your blog-don’t know why. I’ve tried for a long time and my IT guys say that you have to do something on your end to permit me to or something. Anywho, i wanted to comment on your blog about your job, specifically the part about being a receptionist/$. You know I’ve worked hard all my adult life and one of the most important things I have learned in my “old” age is the true meaning of professional success, at least IMO, is having a job that you love. It doesn’t matter what you’re doing or how much you make, it is all irrelevent if you’re not happy. I am very proud of you and Casey both and I think you’re a role model for a successful and happy life. Just wanted you to know.

Love you and I can’t wait to see you guys next month.

Be careful! That’s a lot of water!

I’m glad you like your job. I don’t think glamor is too important, as long as you like what you do and can live on the money.
