casey and i (and the dogs) headed up to rogersville to visit casey’s parents for easter weekend.
on friday, we ate lunch, visited some shops downtown, had drinks (of the coffee and tea variety) on the patio of a local deli/coffee shop, ate dinner, and watched a movie.
on saturday, i got up and went for a run. it ended up being a beautiful 8 mile run, on which i didn’t focus on my performance, but instead, just focused on enjoying the run. i told myself not every run needs to be about performance. i told myself that some runs can simply be about enjoying the beauty of this world and enjoying being alive. some runs provide the perfect opportunity for peace, reflection, and prayer. this was one of those runs and i loved it.
on my run, i took some pictures.
a running buddy (he stayed with me for about a forth of a mile):
after my run, we headed to florence to do some shopping and eat lunch. we also visited some adorable goats:
casey and i (and the dogs) headed home saturday afternoon. we chilled the rest of the day.
this morning, we went to church and it was really good. it’s always good though. if any of you are interested in listening to today’s sermon (or any sermon), you can do so here: trinity podcasts.
this afternoon, casey worked in the yard and i took a nap.
this evening, casey and i are going to dinner at urban cookhouse. i’m going to get this:
I HOPE EVERYONE HAS HAD A LOVELY AND BLESSED EASTER WEEKEND!!
