we had no idea what to get so we let our waitress decide for us!

WOOD-FIRED OYSTERS!

casey: first time for oysters!  loved the flavor, but had some trouble with the texture. 
me: loved the flavor and that they weren’t raw!

LIVER-CHEESE & HOG JOWLS ON TOAST (we didn’t find out what this was until after we ate it, which was probably for the best)!

casey: thought it was delicious!
me: it was great! the pickles (sweet) and the mustard (grainy) were both made in house and were awesome!

PORCHETTA (pork tenderloin wrapped in pork belly – slow roasted and braised) W/ GREEN BEANS AND TOMATO SALAD

casey: thought the flavor was awesome, but the tenderloin was really fatty (didn’t like the texture)
me: agreed with casey on this one. i really liked the green beans, too!

CREAMY GRITS

casey: thought the grits were delicious!
me: i told the waitress that i didn’t really like grits, but she ensured me these grits would change my life. she was right. the grits were AMAZING. so warm and buttery and creamy…mmmmmmm.
