worst & best movies of 2012!

BRAVE – other than being pretty, what was the point of this movie?

ONE THE ROAD – weird and BORING.

THE MASTER – seriously the worst movie of all time. ever. i’m pretty sure when it was over i ran out of the theater.

THE PERKS OF BEING A WALLFLOWER  – i know this one is higher on most peoples list, and i LOVED the book, but i just couldn’t get fully into the movie. trust me, i tried. i wanted to love the movie as much as the book, but i just didn’t. obviously, it’s still a great movie because it’s on the list!

THE HOBBIT – visually, this movie was awesome and, not surprisingly, the story was great! the acting seemed slightly forced, but was still good. the only reason this isn’t higher on the list is because it’s not one i would choose to re-watch often.

THE FIVE-YEAR ENGAGEMENT – i remember this movie being way better than expected, which is always great!

THE CABIN IN THE WOODS – you can read my review here.

21 JUMP STREET – this was another movie that was way better than i expected. quite funny.

THIS IS 40 – i really loved this movie. it was much less funny than i expected, but in a really wonderful way. i thought it was very honest and charming. and funny!

WANDERLUST – hilarious! usually, anything paul rudd touches is gold and this was no exception. we re-watched this movie several times in 2012.

MOONRISE KINGDOM – duh. wes anderson is a serious genius. this is definitely my favorite of his movies. the cast is top notch, as always. and the story is quirky, humorous, and quite delightful.

JEFF, WHO LIVES AT HOME – i’m in LOVE with this movie and it’s message. you can read my review here.

DJANGO UNCHAINED – duh. quentin tarantino is a serious genius. this is definitely my favorite of his movies. but really, this movie has just about everything a movie needs to be damn near perfect. bravo.
